Is it ever OK to lie? These cuttlefish think so.

Utilitarian sometimes argue that telling a lie is justified when it promotes greater happiness for the greater number. Certainly this is true if the Gestapo pounds on your door demanding to know if you are hiding a family of Jewish refugees in your attic during WWII. Now, evidence from nature suggests that even animals lie. Other studies show that lying is a natural part of human development. So why do humans lie? What benefits are there to lying? Why is it that some animals lie? All good questions or topics for your next term paper.
